My husband died in June when I was 8 months pregnant with our first child. I am 27. I had a baby girl in mid-July and it would be really good to talk to anyone who might be able to relate. I have yet to find anyone with a situation like mine who was pregnant when their husband died. I think it would really help to talk to someone who is raising their child by themselves.

i am so sorry for your loss...very sad especially having your baby....welcome to this site...you will find comfort here....and you will also find several ladies that were in your same situation....in fact, there is a lady here that had twins....there is a special section for widows 20-30 yr old and also single mom section....though you can post
anywhere on the site....i know you will be getting many responses from the ladies....read the posts...they will give you insight into this process....share your story by posting yourself....everyone here truly understands...by sharing your story it gives validity to your lifes together.....that this person mattered.....take one day at a time...one foot in front of the other.....Keep your chin up....take care of yourself....be kind to you....allow yourself time to grief.....God blessings to you and your baby...rlb

I lost my husband 3 days before I gave birth to my twins. I never imagined in my wildest dreams I'd be a single mom. I find it hard to be strong somedays. I'm so sorry that your husband died when you were pregnant. I was not pregnant when my husband died our daughter was 2 months old . he was very sick and only held her a few times .

I have just joined this group and read your message. My partner died 1/1/2005 when is was 17 weeks pregnant. It seems to be very hard to find anyone in the same situation and I have been looking since it happened. It would be really great to chat with you.

I've found one other person on this site who was pregnant at the time and she has been so good to talk to. Please e-mail me and we can start chatting. How old is your child now? Did you have a boy or girl? I had a little girl. She turned 8 months on Monday and she is so amazing.

I was 24 and pregnant with our 3rd child when my husband died in a car accident. This happened 7 years ago. I was 6 weeks pregnant. We had lost a son, 6 months old, 6 months prior to my husband's accident. We had just decided to try again and I got pregnant right away. I would be happy to talk to you anytime.

I'm so sorry for your loss...I also lost my husband in June (Father's Day). I was not pregnant but I am raising our 3 children (16, 11, 7) & it has been hard. I hope you have family support as well as friends & if you don't...find a "family" all your own that can help you. Christmas is coming & I am becoming an emotional wreck. Hold your baby dear & thank God for her.

Lost my husband Paul on September 11, 2001. He was working for in the North World Trade Center. I gave birth to our first son, Paul, in December, 2001.
